Tranquil glamping pod getaways in the rural Lincolnshire Wolds
We’re a little unusual. Simple, tranquil stays in a beautiful established garden setting are our speciality. No hot tubs, outdoor baths or saunas here I’m afraid - but there’s still plenty of beauty and calmness here to help you relax and switch off, without any costly extras.
You can choose a rural getaway in one of our unique, hand-made, predominantly up-cycled structures - which have been described (affectionately) as ‘fancy sheds’ but we call them Huts! …. They’re situated alongside the ancient St Margaret’s church - hence we named them Churchside Huts.
Our setting is a leafy haven in a beautiful corner of the Lincolnshire Wolds - just outside Louth.
If you look at booking a stay, you’ll have the option of The Den Hut or The Cosy Nest Hut glamping pods for 2, with private washrooms just a few steps away, or the larger self-contained, two-bedroomed cabin (The Stables Hut) sleeping up to 4.
All 3 huts have individual characters and a really homely feel. They are simple, well-appointed places to stay, with really comfy beds and hot showers in spacious private bathrooms.
Even though there are sometimes others staying nearby, there is a feeling of privacy due to the spacious setting. Established gardens surround all the huts with an abundance of wildlife to observe and enjoy.
Glamping pod stays are available March - end October with a minimum 2 or 3 night stay.
The Stables Hut has full central heating and is available for relaxing visits all year round. (Minimum nights apply, depending on the time of year ).
We make sure all the gardens are well kept and have changing colours through the season to add to the enjoyment of staying here.
We are a stone’s throw from the Georgian market town of Louth (celebrated for its foodie destinations and rural charm), and in a perfect location for a wide variety of places to visit and ways to spend your days.
Walk the local paths or explore the Wolds in general, visit the vast sandy beaches or trade peace and quiet for an exciting day at Cadwell Park motor racing circuit, before you return to unwind in the evening.
Enjoy the many local eateries and historic market towns such as Louth, Horncastle and Woodhall Spa - or just chill out in the garden with a good book and birdsong 🐦⬛. It’s really up to you.
Perhaps you’ll choose to switch off your phone and be uncontactable for a couple of days to enjoy the peace - (we do actually have a decent phone signal and WiFi is included in your stay, but you don’t need to tell anybody at home that if you don’t want to 😉.)
The glamping pods are for adults only, so they’re perfect for couples getaways or quiet solo stays. The Den Hut welcomes a dog too.
From Louth within 30 mins drive you can enjoy the unspoilt east coast beaches at Mablethorpe, Theddlethorpe , Anderby Creek or Cleethorpes. The historic City of Lincoln with its stunning cathedral is nearby too. Cadwell Park motor racing circuit is just 25 minutes away.
Or maybe just curl up with a good book to the sound of buzzing bees and birdsong. 🐦⬛
The Stables Hut is slightly different as it’s a self-contained spacious cabin with two good sized bedrooms, sleeping up to 4, with its own separate gardens. Couples, children and friends of all ages are welcome.
Big, dark starry skies, fantastic views of the moon and dreamy sunsets can all be enjoyed from all the huts.
With their own tranquil section of the gardens, the glamping huts offer privacy and seclusion.
Our gardens are designed to be uplifting and are enormously wildlife friendly.
Enjoy the abundance of 🐇 rabbits, bumblebees, dragonflies, butterflies, moorhens, ducks, owls, foxes, ( more rabbits), songbirds, buzzards, hawks, crows, woodpidgeons, (more rabbits), woodpeckers, pheasants, herons, frogs, toads, newts and the occasional otter! 🦦
Theddlethorpe Beach is just 20 minutes drive away from us. It’s mostly deserted and is dog friendly. Enjoy its big skies and miles of golden sands at any time of the year.
