The Den Hut - dog friendly

The Den Hut is a charming, unique, up-cycled glamping pod created from a touring caravan and a disused parcel storage van. Joined firmly together and completely refurbished to a high standard, The Den is a homely unit with 3 separate spaces. It has its own kitchenette at one end of the lounge area, plus a hallway for boots and coats storage, and a spacious double bedroom on the opposite side.

The Den Hut has its own veranda decking  plus an enclosed patio garden area with seating, a fire pit and barbecue area.  This small garden also has some grass and gravel, plus soft solar fairy-lighting for romantic evenings round the fire. The aspect is perfect for catching a beautiful sunsets, or a spot of moon and star-gazing.

Your dog is very welcome to stay with you in The Den, and the local area has some lovely walking paths and countryside straight from the gate. The garden space sectioned off alongside the hut is perfect for off-lead chilling out time with you furry friend.  Dog owners should note, however, that there is another glamping cabin in the paddock, where other guests are likely to be staying at the same time, so a reactive dog would probably find it difficult to relax.

A warm & private toilet / shower room will be designated to you for your stay, and is situated in a washroom building, just adjacent to The Den Hut.

As an adults only property, The Den is ideally suited to couples or a solo stay. The WiFi signal could be useful for those looking for a quiet working staycation, but we recommend turning off your devices and enjoying the tranquility of the setting.

There is a small smart TV in the property which will play all the usual apps for any rainy afternoons or chilly evenings. 

The small kitchen space in the hut is just suitable for hot drinks and snacks but guests do also have a the use of central covered summerhouse kitchen, with tables and seating areas, a fridge, a toaster, a microwave and dishwasher. It’s a fantastic extra space with its own log burner and games collection.

We hope all guests will enjoy our rural garden setting, surrounded by birds and wildlife of many sorts. The starry nights can be amazing when the skies are clear, so remember to look up when you step outside.

Often the countryside can be noisy as well as silent, so be prepared for some fabulous early morning birdsong at certain times of the year.

We're situated in Keddington, a quiet rural hamlet just 5 minutes drive from the Georgian market town of Louth - with its charming selection of small independent shops, pubs and high quality eateries.

Louth is known as the gateway to the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB with rolling countryside and big skies. The location is perfect for long walks and fresh air. Unspoilt beaches, busy seaside resorts, quaint market towns and the historic City of Lincoln (with its stunning cathedral) are all within easy reach.

Alternatively, on the days you'd just like to stay in and chill, we provide tranquil and beautiful garden surroundings where you can immerse yourself in a good book or follow the busy and varied wildlife that is all around you. Rabbits, songbirds, owls, crows, butterflies, (more rabbits), moorhens, dragonflies, wood pigeons , pheasants, kestrels, buzzards, sparrow hawks, (more rabbits), squirrels and the occasional fox all seem to like it here and are frequently spotted by visitors.

One of us is usually around as we live on site, and can always be reached by phone or text. We’ll respond as quickly as possible and call round if needed.

There is a parking space on our main drive. If you are coming in more than one vehicle, please do check with us first.
